	The Men’s Health Day was introduced to bring attention to matters of men’s health. It is free of charge and an annual event. At one of the “stations” at this day you can obtain a free measurement of your PSA value. Prostate cancer is the second most common cause of death in men in Austria. According to our research, 1040 men underwent this test in 2001, and 947 in 2002. The results showed a raised PSA > 4ng/ml in 103 patients (2001) and in 78 men (2002).
	All patients were informed about their PSA measurements within 4 weeks. Those with raised values were advised to consult a urologist as a matter of urgency. If you are older than 45 and don’t know your PSA, you are well advised to come for a consultation.
